What is Aggressor?

The side that crossed the spread to make a trade happen. The aggressor is what moves price; the resting side is what absorbs it.

The aggressor is whichever side crossed the spread to make the trade happen. It is the only half of a trade that tells you anything directional — the resting side did not choose that moment, the aggressor did. Every soldier advancing on this board is an aggressor; which direction they walk is which side ran out of patience.
