Front Line draws a live crypto market as a battle. Buyers advance from the left, sellers from the right, and the glowing line between the two armies is the price. When buyers push the line right, the price is going up.
Reading the field
- Teal
- Buy orders — every soldier is a real trade or a real on-chain order.
- Ember
- Sell orders.
- Infantry
- Orders under $10,000.
- Tanks
- Orders of $10,000 or more.
- Air strike
- Orders over $100,000 — jets for buyers, gunships for sellers.
- Transport
- A large transfer moving on the XRP Ledger. Not a buy or a sell.
- Scoreboard
- Who is winning, measured against the price the session opened at.
Where the data comes from
Trades and prices come from Coinbase's public market-data feed. On-chain activity comes straight from a public XRP Ledger node. Both are live and public; your device connects to them directly. Nothing is routed through us, and there is no account to create.
If a network blocks those services, the app says “no live tape reachable” and runs a clearly-labelled simulated market so the visualization still works. On the web you can force that mode with ?sim=1.
Front Line is a visualization, not a trading tool. It is not investment advice, it cannot place orders, it holds no funds or keys, and it is not affiliated with Coinbase, Ripple, or any exchange. Prices shown are for illustration and may lag or differ from the venue you trade on. Never make a financial decision from a picture of a battle.
Common questions
The field looks quiet. Some markets simply print few trades a minute. Switch to BTC or ETH and the field fills up. The badge shows how long ago the last trade landed.
It says simulated. Your network is blocking the market-data services — corporate Wi-Fi and some VPNs do this. Try cellular.
Nothing moves. Tap the pause control, or reopen the app; iOS suspends network connections while an app is in the background and Front Line reconnects when it returns.
